People are losing Jobs, Homes, Investments and overall security in the things that they thought were very secure! The US Economy has taken a downturn and created a wave of economic chaos across the world because of the degree of financial influence that it has through institutions like the New York Stock Exchange! When the United States sneezes...every nation catches a cold it seems! 

    The fact of the matter is that every civilization has had it's ups and downs and it seems that it is our turn...To get right to the point, It's funny that when things are good and life is either stable or on the upturn, we thank God for His intervention and figure, that at some level, we must be doing something right!  On the other hand, if life is throwing us curve balls, we all get out of sorts and wonder if we should even trust a God that allows so many things to go wrong in the world and in our personal lives! The list goes on...    
The problem with this line of thinking is that the Bible itself tells us what to expect, as we journey through this short life.

    The Bible says;
1. Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2. through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4. and perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:1 - 5 

    When we have a relationship with God through Jesus, we can rest in the knowledge of His character "knowing in our knower" that God cares more, for each and every one of us, than we can imagine and has our best interest at heart and wants to strengthen us and encourage us!     

    I remember talking with my wife about current events and how bad things have gotten all over the world and in our own Christian Nation. This reminded me that when I compare what the Bible says, in parallel with the newspaper, that the Bible reads like a time machine, reflecting all the events that would eventually come about! This simple truth helped me to realize that God is still on the Throne and is not surprised at the events that are currently unfolding and that He does have a plan for my life and yours!     Trusting God is imperative because He said that we would have troubles, but that He would take care of us and guide us through this process! 

    How we honor God through these Downturned Economic time will be how we approach the opportunity to trust God as we reach out to those that need help! After all, as a Christian Nation...thats what we do that makes our Nation and the American people unique. I pray that the world will now witness the inventiveness, perseverance,  and character of the American people across The United States of America as they "Wake Up" and reconnect with God!

By the way...take a moment to look at one of your dollar bills...It still says in "God We Trust"...will you?

Ephesians 3:13 NKJ  says; Therefore I ask that you do not lose heart at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.

Trust God....Watch how He arranges things for you...and be excited about the outcome!
